Unloading: The GeoVault comes with chain hooks attached to the top of the vault. Use extreme safety precautions when unloading and transporting the GeoVault. The weight must be evenly distributed between all chain hooks provided. Caution should be used to avoid any sudden movement while unloading and/or transporting the vault. Weight is determined by vault and manifold size. Following are general guidelines:
Vault Pit
Preparation/Placement:
The GeoVault is to be set on a level base consisting of 18” of compacted
gravel. Final grade should be a minimum of 3” below the vault’s manhole
cover to avoid surface water from seeping directly into the vault. Concrete Pour: Once the GeoVault is correctly positioned in the vault pit, concrete (recommended 4,000 psi) is then poured into the vault form and screeded off the top of the form. Sidewalls should be vibrated to ensure complete concrete placement within the form. For concrete requirements, reference table above.
